PE industry sector is one the largest source of funding for enterprises that are relatively secure with an established track record, requiring significantly large funds for expansion and growth. All Private equity (PE) investments are further classified into Foreign Institutional Investment (FII) for investments in listed companies and Foreign Direct Investment (FDI) for investment in unlisted companies Venture capital (VC) funding provides funds for early stage companies. VC investments are traditionally made for scaling up operations (i.e. development, launch and expansion of new products or services). Venture Capital sector provides entrepreneurial support and partnership-based value-addition, often in the form of financial advice and human resources support for other industries. |
